On arrival at Vang Vieng, we cross the Nam Song River to Tham Jang caves and then enjoy a short trek through the breathtaking mountain landscape to Tam None Cave and some hill villages. Day 03: Vang Vieng - Lung Prabang
An early morning start to drive to Luang Prabang by 13th north route, The Luang Prabang which is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. We then embark on traditional boat leisure upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine and continue boating up leisurely trip on the Nam Ou River to Nongkhoiw. Today, we embark on a traditional boat, upstream on Magic of Mekong River. The journeys northwards begin as depart the town and drive through the spectacular countryside towards the mountain region. Along the way we visit the busy and colorful market of Thalat where various hill tribes come to trade their goods and buy previsions. A next stop of our trip is Vang Xang, famous for the archeological site dating back 11th century. We reach our final destination, Vang Vieng, which is nestled on a bend of the Nam Song River. The small and tranquil village of Vang Vieng is rapidly developed with the advent of tourist, but the beautiful scenery with a mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops unchanged for century. After checking into hotel we take a wander to catch our first glimpse of this hill town. Over night in Vang Vieng.

Day 03: Vang Vieng – Luang Prabang
Heading out of town we explore the famous cave of Tham Jang that was once used by local people as a hideout from Chinese invaders. We also cross the river to Ban Huai Ngai, a very pleasant village where we can explore the different local lifestyle. Upon leaving Vang Vieng, the roads begin to deteriorate; however the stunning mountain scenery makes for an interesting journey. We wind our way through Kasi and Phoukhoune to Luang Prabang. This town with its gleaming temple roofs, fading colonial architecture and stunning mountain backdrop has been claimed by UNESCO to be "the best preserved traditional city in South East Asia". There is little traffic on Luang Prabang roads and monks in orange robes scurry in all directions carrying umbrellas to shade themselves from the Sun. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 04: Luang Prabang – City Tour
The former Royal Palace has been turned into a National Museum. This interesting structure displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. We also have enough time this day to explore some other landmarks, including the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham, the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the Wat Mai with five tiered roofs. A visit to Luang Prabang would be not complete without climbing 329 steps to the top of Phousi Hill for a beautiful sunset view of the Mekong River. The zigzag path crosses over various temples to the sacred, gilded stupa of Wat Phou, another World Heritage Site, recognized by UNESCO in 2002si at the summit. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Today, we continue our city tour, seeing the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, which nestles at the meeting of the Mekong and the Nam Khan River. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a taste of the tranquil countryside and an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at Ban Xang Hai to visit the rice wine distillation. Day 02: Yangon - Bagan by morning flight
After breakfast flight to Bagan. Day 04: Bagan -Mandalay by morning flight

Visit MAHAGANDAYON, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study. Afterwards continue to the 220 years old U BEIN TEAK BRIDGE, built in 1782 at the time when AMARAPURA was the royal capital. Also you will visit BAGAYA MONASTERY with a superb collection of Buddha statues. Sightseeing continues to SAGAING, a place for Buddhist devotees. Day 05: Mandalay

Day 07: Inle - Heho - Yangon by afternoon flight Early morning after breakfast, visit INDEIN VILLAGE, located at the western side of the lake. Passing NYAUNG OHAK MONASTERY and follow a stair path lined up with many hundreds o wooden columns, you finally will reach the impressive SHWE INDEIN PA-O COMPLEX. From the hillside you have great view over the lake area. On the way back to the boat, walk through a romantic bamboo forest at the riverside, where you may observe local people having a bath.

In Bago stop at KYAKHAT WINE monastery where you will see over 1000 Buddhist monks having their merit lunch with total silence by approx. 10:30 am.!
Continue to KYAIKHTIYO (approx. 3 hours), the Golden Rock, a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaves and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. From Kin Pun Base Camp, a steep and rough 11 km dirt road leads to the upper staging point, a journey made in open trucks. From there, travellers must at present walk the final stage, approximately 4 km up steep paths, which ascend some 500 m to the GOLDEN ROCK. Transfer from hotel to Christchurch Railway Station by SIC and board the Tranz Alpine Express for a scenic rail journey across the Southern Alps via Arthur’s Pass to Greymouth. On arrival at Greymouth Railway Station, board your scheduled coach for the continuation south to Franz Josef Glacier by SIC. Pass through the small settlements of Hokitika, Ross and Harihari and several scenic lakes surrounded by native bush en route. Check-in to your hotel in the late afternoon. Day 03: Franz Josef Glacier / Queenstown:
Transfer to Queenstown by SIC this morning traveling through the small settlements of Fox Glacier and Haast at the mouth of the Haast River before following the river upstream to the “Gates of Haast” and over the scenic bushclad Haast Pass, the southern most route across the main divide. Travel past the small settlement of Makarora, opposite the Mount Aspiring National Park, and along the shores of Lakes Wanaka and Hawea before passing through the fruit growing area around Cromwell and then through the Kawarau Gorge to Queenstown set on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.

Day 04: Queenstown / Milford Sound / Queenstown:
Full day SIC excursion to Milford Sound. Travel alongside the shores of Lake Wakatipu beneath the towering Remarkables mountain range and across the flat Southland Plains to Te Anau, gateway to the Fiordland National Park, now proclaimed a World Heritage Park. Pass through Beech forests, glaciated valleys, the Homer Tunnel with its 1:10 gradient, and stunning scenery to reach the majestic Milford Sound. Day 03: Innsbruck – Venice (400kms)
This morning post breakfast, you proceed to Venice, the romantic Italian city, known for its unique architecture. You will drive over Mussolini's Bridge of Liberty and then take a water-bus over the Guidecca canal to St. Mark's Square, the very heart of Venice. Here you will see the historic Ducal Palace, the infamous prison, the bridge of sighs, the exquisite Clock Tower and the baroque splendor of St. Marks Basilica. You will also visit the Murano Glass factory where a master craftsman will demonstrate the art of creating the famous Venetian blowing glass. Later return to St.Marks Square and soak in the unique atmosphere of this charming city.

Day 04: Venice – Rome (550kms)
Today you head south to the ‘Eternal City’ of Rome, crossing the forested Apennine hills, the beautiful landscape of Tuscany and Umbria. Day 09: Paris
